Job Monitor

SAP systems need to perform various background jobs, which consume resources. Basis administrators must carefully schedule background jobs when user demand is low, so they don’t affect system performance. Some jobs do not need to run during weekend, while others require to be executed only on specific days of the week.

Expected benefit:
+ Suspend specific job for a given period
+ No duplication of the same job
+ Simple user interface
+ Quick and intuitive

Job Monitor utilizes SAP Fiori environment and SAPUI5 toolkit to provide quick and intuitive overview of scheduled background jobs, as well as the ability to suspend specific jobs for a given period of time. Suspended jobs are persisted in a customizing table, so authorized users can view and unsuspend previously suspended jobs at any time in the future, using the same interface provided by Job Monitor application.
